Details of C-Pen Software installed in the pen:
C Read - allows you to collect and save printed text in the C-Pens memory.
C Direct - enables you to copy text from a paper source via the C-Pen, as a smart hand-held scanning device, directly to any Windows application and view it on your PC screen.
C Dictionary - read and translate any word using complete dictionaries from the Oxford University Press, or Norstedts.
C Address - is an application within C-Pen that enables you to store and retrieve names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. It is synchronised with Microsoft Outlook on your PC.
C Write - write characters with the C-Pen like a ball point pen.
C Beam - transfer text or data directly to your Palm.
C Message - you can send short messages or complete text files via your infra-red enabled cellular phone. Text can be sent either SMS of Fax.
C Calendar - view a whole month, week or day at a time either read or write into your C-Pen. |
The C-Pen 20 comes with a host software, which is divided into three parts; the C-Pen 20 SDK, the Abbyy FineReader OCR and the C-Pen 20 User Interface providing a turn key user solution, featuring user selective scan type (e.g. text/barcode), scan language etc.
The C-Pen 20 SDK enables very flexible third party application development . Both the OCR Module and the User Interface are optional to integrate and thus replaceable. A third party OCR engines may be integrated and thus enable recognition of additional character sets. The option to replace the standard User Interface enables a seamless integration into any third party vertical application.
